• Obtain the map files (typically .bsp files). This can be from the Steam Workshop or another source.

  • If Workshop-based, add the map’s Workshop ID to your Workshop Collection or use the +host_workshop_collection method described in Question #2.

  • If non-Workshop, upload the .bsp file to garrysmod/maps/ via File Manager or FTP.

  • Edit mapcycle.txt or server.cfg to set your default map (e.g., map gm_construct).

  • Restart the server, and it should load the new map automatically on start, or allow it to be voted in if you have a voting plugin.
